Competitive shooting wrapped up on August 18, with the steak fry and party shoot held on August 25. A total of 100 men, women, and teenagers competed on 25 teams across five divisions, grouped by ability. Cash prizes were awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in every division, with equal payouts across all divisions. Prize money comes from a portion of each shooter’s entry fee.
It was great to see so many current and former high school trap shooters participating this year, many of them carrying some of the highest averages in the league. One standout team included dad, mom, son, and daughter all shooting together, and they finished 3rd in their division.

The trap committee is currently discussing the possibility of running a 6–8 week winter league. This would be an individual shoot, scored differently than our current league, allowing shooters to shoot ahead or make up rounds if they need to miss a week.
